Chapter 25 of my memoir in real time, The Gutter Catholic Goes Home, is now live on Substack behind the paywall.
It is titled “A Kindred” and subtitled “Summer, Potbelly Pigs, and Peanut Butter Pie.”
This chapter marks my return after a three-week hiatus while I took care of some important business. Now, at long last, the story turns toward summer, restoration, friendship, and the surprising kindness that can appear when you least expect it.
