You have almost persuaded me on this. But I see one un-addressed point. The left claims to be opposed to authoritarianism. While even the moderate right is more sympathetic to it and the further right the more they openly condone it. So when we see the far left condone dictators while still claiming to be democratic andopposed to authoritarianism, I think it makes sense to ask for more of an explanation than you have given so far.
