You're right, I shouldn't have said Harris would "inevitably" become the Democratic nominee. But that's what I think would happen. I think that once she was President, the Democratic establishment would coalesce in support of her, and prominent Democrats would not want to run agains her. Which is what happened when Biden won the SC primary in 2020, and when Biden announced he would run in 2024.
