A woman notes that your comments are, shall we say, problematic from a woman's point of view and you come back with "your emotions have gotten the better of you"? That playbook was losing credibility in the 1970s, and although in some quarters it still has power, I'm a little surprised to find its adherents on this Substack. Is "GandalfGrey" a pseudonym for "SauronsFirstCousin"?
