Make money doing the work you believe in
Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada.
One small way we can listen and learn is by reading Indigenous writers and artists. Here are a few of my favourites in Canada:
Jordan Abel - writerstrust.com/author…
Arielle Twist - arielletwist.com
Smokii Sumac - instagram.com/smokiisum…
Tenille K. Campbell - tenillecampbell.com
Richard Wagamese - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R…
Tanya Talaga - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T…
Waubgeshig Rice - waub.ca
Billy-Ray Belcourt - billy-raybelcourt.com
Their work spans poetry, fiction, journalism and visual art, and explores identity, colonialism, grief, love, survival, joy and Indigenous life.
If you’re looking for something to read today, start with one of them. 🧡
