Most people probably see it as little more than a footnote in the band’s long and colorful career.
But on the dancefloor, it was a different story.
The B-52’s never quite managed to reach the top spot of the US dance charts, but they came remarkably close on two occasions:
“Summer Of Love” and “Meet The Flintstones”
Both peaked at #3.
Not bad at all for a song recorded for a movie soundtrack and largely forgotten today.
