Too true, Joan. As of today MA has (sic) soared to 37th place in vaccination rates. The signup this week was bungled & numerous frightened people, esp. elders, are calling in to radio shows, seeking practical advice and/or to vent. Baker did alright in Spr 2020, but since then seems to favor business interests over public health. Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose.

A couple weeks ago Baker made infuriating remarks about fault "on both sides" (or some such rot) during the Insurrection. I gave serious thought to running against him next year -- not to win but to help sandbag him for a viable Dem opponent. The strategy would be to constantly compare him negatively to John Albion Andrew, our great abolitionist and Unionist governor during the Civil War. It could be effective, but it'll likely amount to nothing. Inertia is a powerful force in my life ....
