Yes, I would agree in certain instances. In others it is just their, as I alluded to, complete lack of concern for anything other than themselves. Case in point. A co-worker of mine, in his 50's, told me of a conversation he had with someone in their 30's who replied to the effect that 'you worry too much; there's nothing wrong with the country'.
