The nature of demagoguery is that it ignores reason and substance in favor of what most people supposedly want to hear or are moved by. Unfortunately that seems to be a well established trend in America. Judging by how much of it there is now one might be led to conclude that Americans are fit for nothing better, so easy it being to defraud them. At least it is apparent that some rather large bets have to date been placed on that.
