The “Elliott Smith Wall” is a painted mural located at 4334 West Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, on the exterior of the Solutions Audio Video Repair shop near Sunset Junction.

The wall served as the backdrop for the cover photo of ‘figure 8,’ the 2000 album by Elliott Smith, and later became closely associated with the record.

After Smith’s death in 2003, fans began treating the site as an unofficial memorial, leaving handwritten notes, lyrics, flowers, and other offerings.

Although the wall has been painted over, altered, and partially removed over the years, the image has been repeatedly restored, sustained through fan effort rather than formal landmark protection.
