Can't wait to see Phoenix and KD reunited with coaching legend Steve Nash!

Celtics in 5; Butler and Bam aren't nearly enough. Nuggets also in 5. Jokic is on a mission.

I’m a nuggets fan and keep trying to convince myself they’ll lose because that’s what they always do...and I cant! They’re way better than they were in the bubble, and the Lakers are significantly worse. AD is not a problem for Jokic and Murray when the rest of the lakers include an old LeBron and no other good players, and the nuggets have KCP, Gordon and the most complete version of MPJ we’ve ever seen in the playoffs (he drives! He gets defensive rebounds!). Nuggets in 5.

I was shocked by the timing but not the decision to let Monty Williams go. He was slow (if acting at all) in making adjustments in the playoffs, played the wrong players big minutes (even before the Durant trade), and for a coach who excelled at interpersonal relationships with players never connected with Ayton in the gameplan or on the sideline. I think Monty is an incredible human being and coach, but this relationship had run its course. I hope to see him on someone else's sideline next season.

Celtics in 5. Spo and Jimmy will win one game a piece on sheer guile and effort, and the Celtics will blow one because Mazzula is still collecting timeouts for the summer

Would you rather have Ja Morant's friends or Mat Isbia buy your company? Though Ja's second violation is all on him. The Grizzlies, his dad, and his homies are poor excuses. Pack a bag, get your passport, and spend the summer with Steven Adams and his brothers training or farming or wrangling livestock.

Low down the list of relevant notes from this newsletter, but man, going 0-3 from the restricted area in the 3rd quarter is wild. Those might as well be dunks or lay-ins.

The only help Ja Warrant needs is to stop being a complete dumbass, and given that it was handed down from his father, don't hold your breath.

Not a single thing about this happening again is the least bit surprising. He's been a spoiled brat since high school, and an eight-game vacation wasn't going to make any kind of impression on him. I'm not sure a full-season suspension would do it, either.

One statistic from which this goof can't hide is the law of averages. And when you look at it coldly, half of us are below-average from the standpoint of intelligence. As has been said, you can't fix stupid.

I'd say that there's one chance in three that he's dead by thirty. I'd like to be wrong, but I haven't been yet about him.

I have been terrible at predictions so I'll not continue that awkwardness any further. But maaaaan, can we please get the Nuggets to beat the Lakers? Please please please.
