40 Opportunities and Open Calls in Photography
This month, our massive open calls roundup kicks off with a $6,000 prize and publication opportunity, an artist residency in a picturesque town in Italy (it comes with a daily allowance of €2,500!), and $1,000 in financial support for one woman or non-binary photographer over the age of 40.
March also brings with it the possibility of winning a photobook publication or exhibiting your work across the world, with calls for everything from a street photography show in New York City to solo exhibitions in Atlanta, Santa Fe, and Helsinki, Finland.
Whalebone Magazine Photography Contest
Whalebone Magazine and MPB.com present this competition for photographers, comprising five categories: Water, Adventure, Human, Film, and Delight. The top prize is worth $6,000, with two finalists in every category receiving $500 each. The winners will also have their work published in The Photo Issue of Whalebone.
“In addition, Whalebone will be selecting 15 photos from the winners, finalists, and honorable mentions entries to participate in The Print Shop from Whalebone Magazine, available online and in our shop on Bleecker in New York City,” the team explains. Submit by March 10th.
