I almost didn’t put out this newsletter…
Nation First almost threw in the towel due to a family mini-drama but then realised there was a lesson in it to share!
Dear friend,
I almost didn’t put out a newsletter today.
You see, my two-year-old daughter has had a shocking cold with a chesty cough for a few days now and it just won’t shift.
Last night, her mum had applied a healthy dose of Vicks Baby Balsam to her chest and back and then left her alone in her room for a few minutes.
When I walked into the room a little while later, our toddler had managed to open the Vicks and was in the process of smearing the entire tub all over her face and upper body.
It’s lucky she didn’t get it in her eyes.
The next few hours were spent cleaning her up, dealing with her cough and cold and trying to put a very agitated little girl to sleep (which nixed the nightly research and preparation for today’s newsletter).
And so I was about to throw in the towel.
But then I realised there was lesson in what my little girl had done that’s worth sharing.
Why?
Because we do the same thing as what she did. And by ‘we’, I mean society and our governments.
