I was just zany for this installation, and deeply moved. I had the place to myself, making the experience even more unworldly. Oregon Contemporary is in my neighborhood, giving me special pride that it exists. In fact, the pride is deep enough that I gave them a little money.
I wonder if the bedroom was situated as such so that the viewer IS distracted by the shiny glitter of the future? Perhaps the artist wasn't fully immersed in his own childhood bedroom either, but had glittery glimpses of the future in his mind?
