I am so tired of these feel good bills that the sponsors KNOW will NEVER get passed. These are just campaign tactics. Even if by some miracle the bill get passed in Congress (which it never will) Biden will NEVER sign it. Why can't people see through this bull crap. All our government agencies need to be restructured and need to be much more transparent. There needs to be non agency citizens without conflicts of interest on oversight boards to watch and report what they do along with limits on how long one can hold a position and a waiting period before they can take employment with government if they come from industry that has a conflict of interest or receives substantial funds from government. There must be a system put in place for true accountability. There is so much that needs to change if we are to have any real safety oversight for the public. The way it is now really is a sham and a way for big business to use our taxes to enrich themselves and line the pockets of politicians and entrenched government officials.
