I'm interested in Sasha Latypova's view (in my words, not hers) that bioweapons, for the most part, are ineffective to spread pathogens widely because of their instability. At least that's my interpretation of what she says. In other words, a "virus" (let's forget the other theory that there's no such thing as a virus) from a GOF lab, were it to "escape," would mutate and/or break down too soon to do a lot of damage. I'd be interested in views of others who know more about the subject. I'm not a medical professional.
