Agree- love this format! Unfortunately the substance of the discussion left a lot to be desired. Any discussion of tariffs without acknowledgement of the national security/geopolitical implications in context of broader economic/foreign policy is incomplete. From an academic perspective this discussion is generally correct - however economics happens in the real world, not textbooks. For a more thorough understanding of tariffs/broader global economics, I’d recommend the work of Lyn Alden and Luke Gromen- easily found on YouTube/your favorite podcasting platform.
