That's what Mike McLaughlin and I spend the second part of Battlefield Cyber discussing. There are several elements of a winning strategy. We have to persuade or force our major companies to create critical distance between themselves and Beijing, so they are not platforms for continued tech transfer and influence pedding. Big Tech in particular faces a moment of reckoning because these companies are making billions while short-changing our democracy and national security. We need to recreate a political center where we agree on pragmatic steps to rebuild our industries and repair our supply chains, educate our young people, and create opportunities for the less fortunate. Our "external" challenges are very much linked to our "internal" challenges. Mike and I also outline ways to overcome the gaps between the public and private sectors so that we can safeguard our defense industrial base and our critical infrastructure. There are clear and tangible steps we should be taking.
