I assume you mean that China abandoned the stipulations of the 3 Communiques? (specifically the commitment to resolving the Taiwan question peacefully)

This is one part of the narrative that we need to push back on much more strongly. The US legitimately has a very different interpretation of the 3 Communiques and what sort of behavior by the US and China is appropriate. All of China's complaints ignore the fact that they have obligations as well - as you've said.
