I think Edward Snowden would disagree. But as as far as data is concerned both countries have different approaches - one which makes mining and available for any commercial purchase and another which grants monopoly over data to the government. As a data subject who is not American, I couldn’t tell you which is worse or better so both systems should respect each other.
