One of the few fields projected to add jobs over the next 5-10 yrs is healthcare. Beyond the obvious doctor or nurse, there are a bunch of other roles like x-ray tech, respiratory therapist, pharmacist, MRI tech, physician's assistant, physical therapist, occupational therapist, or nuclear medicine technologist. Some of these roles are even offered as a 2 yr program at local colleges, and offer good pay for individuals.
