Japan has donated several million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to Taiwan. The Japanese government ordered 120 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, approved it for domestic use, and didn’t use very much of it domestically. A large part of the AstraZeneca vaccine has been donated to Taiwan, Vietnam, and other southeast Asian countries. I haven’t heard of any deaths associated with the AstraZeneca vaccine in Japan. However, there have been a few hundred deaths reported to be associated, not necessarily caused by, with the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines in Japan. https://www.asahi.com/ajw/articles/14390346
