As a feminist cult non-member (although I know what cults are like, having been in a New Age one), this explains the bristling contempt exuded by a certain type of strident feminist. Perhaps it is a loathing that extends from all men, to most women, to a millstone around their own necks. Moribund ideology will do that. And I am sure intersectional feminism only makes the whole thing worse.
