Thanks for pointing this possibility out, It's not like there is no history of FBI, etc., leading people into committing, or attempting to commit, crimes for which they can then be arrested. Who's to say there wasn't some of this going on in the background with these two? It certainly is worth looking into, in the hopes of either debunking that idea, or supporting it. Inconclusive may be the most likely outcome.
