Absolutely. I’m certainly no big believer in the field as it currently sits. Way I see it most are just drug pushers anyway.
We have a mental health crisis in this country, and therapists are at best enabling, at worst outright causing.
In any case, you get growth and progress and happiness most often from focusing out on others. And most therapists have you focus exclusively in. What are your feelings, your thoughts? It’s inherently selfish. And a focus on yourself can’t truly bring happiness.
