The app for independent voices

The NYTimes article: "At least half a dozen men claim to have seen Omar Mateen at gay clubs or encountered him online, but investigators have not found any independent corroboration."

"We later learn that the FBI interviewed 500 men who claimed to have had sex with him or seen him in gay clubs."

All 506 are liars or victims of mass hysteria it seems because the Isis killer didn't leave a digital trail. Or at least the FBI "couldn't" find it.

And then there's this from the ex-wife: "One of the first people to bring up the idea that Mr. Mateen could have been gay was his ex-wife, Sitora Yusufiy, who, a day after the massacre, told The New York Times that her former husband often made angry comments about homosexuality."

It's also nonsense to talk about Mateen as being gay. Plenty of men have homosexual sex on the side, (and they don't have to be "closeted homosexuals") but don't live a gay lifestyle or use necessarily use cruising apps.

My point is that there is conflicting circumstantial evidence and possible FBI meddling in this case which is discounted by Greenwald for political reasons.
