I watched a work colleague be destroyed by accusations of touching, raised only after the alleged victim had shown resentment about a legitimate work direction. She had a psychiatric history, and a poor work record. The lawyers involved all seemed resigned to a guilty verdict. No skin off anyone's nose, there. The judge obliged, despite the only evidence being her word, though countered by the contrary evidence of several others. It was at the height of MeToo#.
