Agreed, the US has no ability to make claims. If a port worker in LA gets sick, how could you tell it from community spread vs the container?

Notably even the FAO claims this week are hedged. It's not that it isn't possible, but rather that isn't not a significant risk. Which makes sense. The FAO is probably concerned that the negative damage from cutting off food supplies would outweigh the small risks from infections from packaging. But that also doesn't refute China's claims.
