Hear, hear! Some say that we need to teach students how to use technology, as if there is any chance they won't be technologically saturated outside school. Typing homework on a computer and emailing it is more efficient, and digital textbooks are easier to carry around, but beyond that I see no use for technology in school. And if using computers for those tasks is introducing the familiar digital distraction, then their benefit is not worth the price and we should go back to pen and paper.
