Ah, friend, I don't even believe that my votes get counted anymore. This electoral thing kinda messes with me, as I have to vote in my former home state. I'm ex-pat, so - it's a little harder from here - Embassy & State Voting Board & shit. And the slowest mails in the world (tyranny of distance). Home State is always red. Home City is always Blue. Always.

I'm not encouraged, because where I am is like a test site preparing what's coming for you. I have hope that America could hold out. Her divisiveness is her strength right now. Keep fighting, and the contentiousness might be enough to turn the tide there. Here, they just roll over and ask for tummy pats. Europe has rolled over, too.

Australia had camps during COVID. And the populace supported it. "No big deal, they said, it's just quarantine*." What have they done with those camps?

*there is a long-standing Quarantine culture here. I had to Quarantine my cat to bring her here. They found a seed in my pup tent. They had to irradiate my "questionable" wooden belongings. Some of my feathers were "illegal" (but they were kind, and called my eagle feathers: "Goose") They irradiate my cannabis medicine. This has been going on easily since the early 1900's. It's - a culture.

There are so many measures now put in place; I know. I know what tech is possible, I know that the AI for the masses is very different to the AI in Medicine, Engineering, and Logistics. What I've seen established here in infrastructure in the past 5 years; I'm just waiting for them to throw the switch. (I could go on in detail, but will spare you the soapbox!)
