I'm wondering if we could appease our "leaders" if we just got rid of elections, and let the people who are currently in just stay there for life? And of course their children would automatically rise to the seats of power as well. Would that be enough for them to leave us alone? Maybe then they would take mercy on us and stop ruining the lives of the peasants just to score election points and invent excuses to change "election" rules more in their favor. In all actuality little would change from installing an official aristocracy as our so-called "democratic elections" result in almost no actual change in policy or personnel. And since our entire government is 100% consumed with "winning the next election and we will burn down the country to do it," maybe we should just give up on our little American Experiment.
