I went canvassing for Dave Min in CA-47 a couple of weeks ago.
We were sent to likely Democratic voters' houses, so no we didn't have to deal with any nastiness from Trump supporters. The vast majority of the people we visited didn't open the door/weren't at home. Here are some sample reactions from the people we did meet:
1.
"Sir, we're canvassing for Dave Min"
"I have no idea what that is"
"Dave Min, he's the candidate for this congressional district? He's a Democrat?"
"Oh, a Democrat! Yes, I'll support him! Great!"
2.
"Ma'am, we're canvassing for Dave Min, he's-"
"Yes, I know, I'm voting for him, and I'm busy so I don't have time to listen to your spiel, bye"
3.
A couple of undecideds; we left them a flyer
4.
"It's great that you're doing this! Yes, I'm voting for him."
"Ma'am, thank you for your support, may we talk with your husband too?"
"He's not home. But he'll vote the way I tell him. He's a good husband [wink]"
