The Hope-Simpson curve and past covid trend indicates virus will begin decline in the US in roughly 10-14 days with or without mask recommendations or vaccinations, so here's what CDC is doing. 1) Looks at Hope-Simpson curve 2) Realizes nature is about to do it's thing presenting a golden opportunity 3) Issues 'new and improved' mask recommendation based on past trends calming the 'masks forever' crowd 4) Sit back and wait while watching nature do it's thing 5) As cases decline, take credit for issuing recommendations that 'saved' lives while citing decline was due to masks and vaccinations. 6) Place in file for future use
