Hi Paul, good point, but no buyer purchases products for a whole year, unless prompted so for very specific reasons. So this development may not have such a big effect. However, deccoupling also means that China may be selling less. And if the US finally understands to strengthen their backyard in Central and South America, manufacturing may move there, too. Supply chains will then be in same time zone and closer to home. Workers there may no longer feel such an urge to trek to USA. Something similar could be said for Europe and Africa.
