I don't look at those pictures and think about how they will be seen in the future. I think, again and again, of the pictures from the opening of the death camps in 1945, as skeletal survivors stumbled out, and the world gasped in shock. And I don't understand why everyone isn't talking about the parallels, and I don't understand how the Israelis can stand seeing themselves as Nazis.
