Malone casually mentioned Delta as being more virulent the other day, though I'm not sure what his opinion is based on. By coincidence, I was just revisiting the CDC's odd declaration that Delta has more severe outcomes at the end of July, based on studies from Singapore, Canada, and Scotland. The Canada one actually did have an interesting signal for more hospitalizations from Delta than Alpha. That was based on cases in the late spring... but by July it was impossible to sort the effect of the elderly losing infection efficacy en masse from what Delta's true nature really was.
