Let’s assume, for the moment, that the folks who broke out of the Israeli concentration camp which is Gaza committed all of the atrocities you claim. (There is substantial evidence that the rapes and beheadings of children never happened. Also, others besides Hamas rushed across the barrier once it was breached. But we’ll ignore all that for now.) What we have in Gaza is an illegally occupied, imprisoned population, half of whom are children, trying to break out of their prison and resist the apartheid system that is crushing them. It is the hight of cynicism for proponents of the apartheid system (such as Israeli government officials) or others siding with them to preach to the victims of that oppression how they are allowed to resist it.
“As with any unjust use of force—be it a street mugging, occupation, or outright slavery—the victim has the right to resist and fight back by any means necessary. The perpetrator—the robber, occupier, slave master—has no moral basis to complain that their victim is fighting back “unfairly”. The oppressor is responsible for all of the violence that ensues, from their own instigating aggression to their victim’s defensive response.”
