So many on this thread appear to believe that history in Israel/Palestine began on October 7 of this year. Far from it. The ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Palestinian population has been ongoing and carried out by Israel for over 75 years. Study more. Read more. Note that Marek Edelman, one of the only Jews to survive the nazi imposed Warsaw Ghetto of WWII said in denunciation of zionism and the Israeli ethno-state, "To be a Jew means always being with the oppressed and never the oppressors." This does not applaud abuses committed by occupied people resisting their occupation; it puts things in context, highlighting the root of the violence. Understanding history and identifying root causes is something all who purport to support peace and justice should embrace.
