TSMC would be useless in a military takeover. First, much of the process knowledge in the heads of the engineers will be gone, fled,or otherwise unavailable. There is likely to be significant damage (sabotage) to the equipment. But most importantly, TSMC depends on many European/US equipment and inputs, which would obviously be blocked in a takeover.
