Relevant in the sense that the HK actions reveal what would happen should they control TW - but the people in TW already knew that. To Bonnie's point, China's capability to impose its will on TW ala HK is much more limited (at least for now and the foreseeable future). It would take a full on military invasion and occupation, or such overwhelming dominance over the US/TW to cow everyone into submission
