less likely I think as the older "KMT Generation" with a connection to the mainland passes away. In addition, many of the TW businessmen who made a ton of money in China are older, and ironically with Chinese economic development, the opportunities for Taiwanese to move to the mainland to make tons of money are now gone (too competitive). Thus the TW electorate is become younger and with less incentive and connection to the mainland (as can be clearly seen in the voting trends the past few years)
