I respectfully and strongly disagree. When Google and Facebook started requiring users to use their "real names," all they did was create the illusion that 1 user = 1 real person, which paved the way for the social media psyops that have been on full display since 2016. You should assume no one on the internet is who they say they are unless the source itself is verified. Also, given that some of us are in Hong Kong, where "subversion" has been outlawed under the National Security Law, anonymity enables discussions you otherwise may not have in a substack focused on the greater China.
