Lots of food for thought. But I think we may still find out that the vaccines are all far less effective than shown thus far. They were tested during the summer (not coronavirus season in most places). We started administering them after the cases had already peaked for the season. Testing rates may be confounding whether cases are actually falling faster for vaccinated groups. Places with no vaccinations to speak of have falling case rates, too. I’m not convinced we just stepped into the kitchen for a moment and whipped up a totally effective vaccine to a coronavirus. FDA licensure may be outdated, but we would need to talk about exactly what would replace it. Taking a vaccine is an irreversible act.
