Most of the material that I am seeing, including Kiplinger, indicates that any relaxation of zero-Covid policies won't happen until March, 2023, at the earliest. That would mean that anyone meeting with Chairman Xi is either being told outlines of what they want to hear, or hearing what they want to hear.
