Things go beyond "hot" wars and into regular business dealings. The Chinese are not going to throw away whatever goodwill they have built up by wrecking business relationships and showing third world countries that they can't be trusted. Sure, they achieve many of the same results by copying technology after they have stolen it, but it's deniable that way. You guys are too dismissive of business in general. Business and ingenuity always find a way. That's why Xi's program of promoting Chinese SOEs over private businesses is a poor choice.
