Clyde - I have been a frequent traveler to Hong Kong for the past fifty years. It has long been my favorite global city. Earlier this year I published a book in the U.S. that analyzed China in ways the CCP does not like. In the past my books have sold well in Hong Kong and I have been invited by leading groups and universities in Hong Kong to speak at their seminars. Now, my book is not in bookstores in Hong Kong and I have had no invitations. Some of my long time friends in Hong Kong are in jail and others have been arrested and paroled. I have been warned by friends of forty years not to return to Hong Kong because I might well wind up in jail myself. Please do not persist with the argument that nothing has changed in Hong Kong.
