Not sure if you meant it metaphorically or scientifically, but this has nothing to do with energies, frequencies, virbations, spirits, spiritual forces, etc.

This 'behavior/psychology' has always been a part of humans for over hundreds of thousands of years. Different environments and circumstances bring out different behaviors in humans (we as a species seem to be endlessly malleable and manipulable). That is why sometimes you will observe the SAME human do 'good acts/deeds' and 'bad acts/deeds', though the ratio of good/bad varies tremendously from human to human.

Systems like Capitalism (and its incentives), power hierarchies, etc. play a massive role in this 'good/bad' balance. Change the circumstances and environment, systems, etc. and you often change the resulting behavior of humans within them.
