While I agree with your sentiments about Israel, I wanted to point out a few things:
(1) "It has ruined US cred at the UN" -> US is far from having good cred in the UN even before this Genocide. Only people that are unaware of world events/history and the machinations of the US Empire would think that the US has any cred in the UN (or anywhere else).
(2) "squandering invaluable US goodwill earned from decades of genuine foreign aid" -> This goodwill from US foreign aid idea is an illusion and often a scam (theguardian.com/comment…), (harvardpolitics.com/deb…), Friendly Fire: How Foreign Aid Hurts Development (youtube.com/watch?v=H-Q…), (medium.com/elephantsint…), etc.
(3) "The US spent $8 trillion on the war on terror. Ignited by Israel." -> It's easy to place all the blame on Israel. But a careful and thorough analysis of history shows that it is US FOREIGN POLICY and MAINTENANCE OF GLOBAL HEGEMONY that is behind the activities of the US globally. Israel serves the interests of US FOREIGN POLICY and GLOBAL OLIGARCHS and the Power Elite (for the most part and in most cases with few exceptions like the USS Liberty bombing for example). Also, the $8 trillion that the US spent is calculated as an increase in GDP (military spending, kickbacks to MIC and power elite, military jobs, etc.). In reality, most military/war spending (and the MIC) are ways to enrich the few (power elite) at the expense of the many (plebians) and if it wasn't the WAR ON TERROR, it would be something else that the US establishment would spend the money on (neoliberal capitalism).
Ask yourself this hypothetical question: What if Israel never existed? Do you think the US and Western powers would leave the middle-east region alone and not want to control the resources (oil, gas, trade routes, etc.) in the Middle-East? The Middle-East has always been a colonial and neo-colonial project - regardless of whether Israel exists or not - it was so before the creation of Israel. And if Israel were to cease to exist (one can only hope), powerful and imperialist nations would continue to meddle in the affairs of the region (whether they be US, UK, France, Russia, China, or whichever country attempts at being a global superpower). Now, if the resources of the region were to deplete and disappear, the dynamics and interests of other nations would completely change.
