THAT is the problem with narcissists, "masters of the universe", excessive hubris, irrational over-confidence, and "illusions of uber-superiority" that these so-called people have. Such people have "detached" themselves from reality (to a certain extent). And yes, you are right - they will get us ALL killed AND the planet - but their inability to realize that (because of aforementioned characteristics) seems to now be our biggest challenge.

HOW do we get "these people" to realize that they are NOT separate from the rest of the planet/ecosystems/societies/humanity ? HOW do we get THEM to realize that THEY are NOT "THAT SPECIAL"? Must WE always pay the price for their mistakes and follies? (History seems to provide a dystopian answer to that question unfortunately).
