Well put Caitlin! Assad was bad, but at least he was against the US Empire! I wonder how this will change the dynamics of the Middle-East region and its impact on Iran, Russia, and China...

From what I know about the US Empire (and its history and strategies), the ONLY WAY (IMHO) that it can be destroyed is from WITHIN (by Americans that are finally fed up of being exploited by those in power - we haven't reached that peak frustration/desperation point yet...)
